How do you say 'Wow!' in Korean?

Because 'wow' is very definitely the word. My first translation deal has been sold, and Hunter's Moon will be out in Korean as a paperback next year.

Why yes, I am excited. How did you guess?

Although I've no idea how I'm going to check the translation, since I don't speak Korean...

Anyone free on Thursday the seventh of June?

Waterstone's on Piccadilly is holding a signing from 5.30 on the seventh of June, where yours truly will be joining Chris Dolley, Steph Swainston, Steve Savile, Andrew Dennis, John Lambshead and Eric Brown for an evening of witty repartee, sophisticated elegance and scribbling our names on flyleaves. Trundle on over!

It speaks!

It's a great pleasure, and no small honour, to say that I've been invited to speak at Treadwell's Bookshop on Thursday the 8th of March 2007. Contact them directly for more details and tickets.

More books to come!

I'm delighted to be able to announce that my first novel, Hunter's Moon (formerly Action: TBD), will be published by Victor Gollancz in September 2007. A further novel, with the current working title Eagle Rising, will follow in 2008. This is a very exciting development for me, and will hopefully be the closest I ever get to have what my parents refer to as "A proper job" again.

David on the wireless

David will be speaking with Terry Christian on the BBC Radio Manchester breakfast show at approximately 8:30am on Wednesday 3rd May.

Dave-o-vision

David will be appearing on ITV This Morning on Thursday 27th April, and is very much looking forward to meeting Gordon the Gopher.

Memoirs extracts in The Express

I've just been informed that The Express will be running a major extract from Memoirs of an Exorcist on Saturday 22nd April.

Memoirs of an Exorcist - out 2nd May

My non-fiction book 'Memoirs of an Exorcist' will be available in all good UK bookshops and a number of online ones across the world from Tuesday the second of May. I heartily encourage you to buy copies for yourself, all of your friends, and a few spares that you can give to random strangers that you feel might benefit from owning a copy.
